These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OpenGrants Network website and grant-matching form (the "Service"), operated by OpenGrants Network ("we," "us," "our"). By submitting our form or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About OpenGrants Network

OpenGrants Network is a free information and navigation service. We help people identify publicly available government and nonprofit grant and aid programs that may be relevant to their situation, and point them to the official source to apply. We do not create, fund, issue, or administer any grant or aid program ourselves.

2. Description of Service

When you submit our form, we review your responses (such as your country, age range, employment situation, and the type of support you're looking for) and identify programs that may be relevant to you. We then send you a personalized list, with direct links to the official application pages, by email or your preferred contact method. You apply for any program directly through its official administering body.

3. No Guarantee of Eligibility or Funding

We make no representation or guarantee, express or implied, that you will be eligible for, approved for, or receive any grant, benefit, or funding from any program we identify or refer you to. Eligibility, approval, and disbursement decisions are made solely by the government agency, nonprofit, or foundation administering each program, under their own criteria and processes, which we do not control.

4. No Fees, Ever

Our Service is completely free. We never ask you to pay, at any stage, for any reason, to access our guidance or to be matched with programs. If anyone claiming to represent OpenGrants Network asks you for payment, this is not us, and we ask that you stop communicating with them and report it to us at hello@opengrantsnetwork.org immediately.

5. No Government Affiliation

OpenGrants Network is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, department, or official body in any country. References to government or nonprofit programs are for informational purposes only and do not imply any official partnership.

6. Your Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information on the matching form.
• Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to submit the form.
• Use the Service only for its intended purpose of seeking guidance on grant and aid programs, and not for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
• Conduct your own due diligence and verify eligibility requirements directly with the official program administrator before relying on any information we provide.

7. Third-Party Programs and Links

The Service may direct you to programs, websites, or resources operated by third parties (government agencies, nonprofits, foundations). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, application processes, or outcomes. Your interactions with any third-party program are solely between you and that organization, and are governed by that organization's own terms and policies.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and underlying code, is owned by or licensed to OpenGrants Network and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute the Service's content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do our best to identify legitimate, currently available programs, but we cannot guarantee that the information we provide is error-free, complete, or up to date at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenGrants Network and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to denial of a grant application, loss of expected funds, or reliance on information we provided. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us to use it (which, since the Service is free, is zero).

11. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue providing guidance to any individual at our discretion, including in cases of suspected misuse, fraud, or abuse of the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of United State, without regard to conflict of law principles. Because the Service is offered to residents of multiple countries, you should also be aware that local consumer protection laws in your own country may apply to your use of the Service.
